EIB
One of EIB's instruments, the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership (FEMIP), has become the key player in this region.

With more than 8,5 billion € invested during the last 6 years in the nine partner countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranen, the Fund  has been focussing on projects that support the development of the privatre sector and the creation of an investment-friendly environment.

EBCAM  Hellenic Presidency
Under a yearly rotating chairmanship, Greece, represented by the Hellenic African Chamber of Commerce (HACCD) under its President Mr. Sotiris Mousouris, has taken over the EBCAM Presidency from 1 July 2009

ebcam_smFormer HACCD Secretary General and newly appointed EBCAM Vice-President Eleni Vassou, at the same time member of the Board of Directors of the CCG 1972, will assure that the close and friendly links between EBCAM, HACCD and the CCG will be maintained and further enlarged.

It was in this spirit that Mrs Katerina Kalogeropoulos Armenakis, Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia and President of the CCG 1972, hosted an ad hoc luncheon for the participants of the Athens meeting at her residence.

The EBCAM Presidency provides the active and enterprising business community of Greece with a unique opportunity to play a central role in African-European commercial relations, benefitting from various EU-sponsored programmes under the Barcelona Process, the European Neighbourhood Policy, and the newly established Mediterranean Union.
